Liberated Flow Yoga
I am a passionate yoga and mindfulness teacher with a deep love of teaching and sharing what I have learned and gained from yoga. I began practicing yoga when I was 15 and felt an immediate connection to the practice to ease stress and anxiety. Through years as a competitive swimmer, I found substantial physical benefits from yoga as an athlete, but most significantly, experienced a deep calming of the mind. After years of living in the Middle East working with refugee communities and witnessing the profound impacts of trauma on the body, mind, and spirit, I came to understand yoga as a path to healing, re-connection, and liberation. I was driven to become a yoga teacher largely by a deep desire to help make yoga more accessible to people that have experienced trauma, as well as communities that have not had access to it.
With a master’s degree in Social Justice and Education and a background working with youth, I am also deeply passionate about bringing mindfulness and yoga to young people. I am trained in Yoga for Teens and Mindfulness in Schools, and Trauma-informed Yoga, and have worked throughout schools teaching about mindfulness and equity.
I am a lover of nature and believe that connection to ourselves, each other, and the earth is at the center of collective healing and peace building. I bring joy and connection to every class and seek to lovingly support each student in their own journey seeking peace and liberation.
